If you’ve been paying attention to movie news, you’d be aware that Guillermo del Toro just picked himself up a couple of Oscars for The Shape of Water. Only a handful of years earlier, he was responsible for another monster movie that was whole heck more fun: Pacific Rim. For the sequel, del Toro has handed over the reins to Spartacus showrunner Steven S. DeKnight and I’m excited for another round of robots punching monsters while Charlie Day yells about science. (And, I’ll be honest, I won’t be missing Charlie Hunnam; John Boyega is a clear upgrade.)
