Review Roundup – Jonze Jonze Jonze

Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill in The Wolf of Wall Street (2013)

Some more reviews/articles! You may not have come across these if you don’t follow me on Twitter, so I figured it was only fair to link them up.

First up, over at the 500 Club I’ve been working on a Spike Jonze retrospective with Jesse Thompson. Jesse covered Being John Malkovichand Where the Wild Things Are while I contemplated Adaptation.and Jonze’s music videos.

Meanwhile I was lucky enough to attend the Queensland red carpet premiere of The Wolf of Wall Street (which also, oddly enough, included Jonze in a small role). The film was spectacular, one of the best films I’ve seen in a while, and my review can be found over at Cheated Hearts.

Being John Malkovich Rating:
4.5 stars
Adaptation. Rating:4.5 starsWhere the Wild Things Are Rating:4.5 starsThe Wolf of Wall Street Rating:

  1. Great reviews, as always, Dave. I especially like the Wolf review probably because I agree with every point. It is hilarious. It is powerful. And it does indict Belfort’s behavior, even if it doesn’t give full attention to his victims.
